Handwoven in Montana with using Certified Organic wool from the Navajo Churro sheep. The Navajo people have long used the Churro’s soft fleece undercoat in rugs and other weavings.  Churro sheep originated in Spain and were brought to the Native American nations around the 16th century.

The Churro’s wide range of natural wool colors makes it easy to have a variety of colors without the need for dyeing, although natural vegetable dyes are sometimes used to produce deeper colors and wider selection.
